Accelerated Reader is computer
software used by the teachers at SJOV to motivate students to read.
After finishing a book, either for class or independent reading,
students take a "Reading Quiz" written especially for that book.
Questions range from 5 to 20 questions. Their score on the test
determines how many points they get for reading the book. At the end of
the year, students may receive a reward based on their point earnings.
